Specification
Size of the modules

The print for IR-2-serial are 34x31,5mm width. The print for IR-2-usb (internal release) are 34x40mm width. The print for IR-2-usb (external releases) are 36x38mm width; the whole width of the external modules inclusive housing are 40x40x20mm.

All prints for IR-2-serial and IR-2-usb are basicly printed onto 1,5mm-prints; The modules with servo case have an implementated 0,8mm-prints.


Interface Specification


IR-2-serial

The outlooks of the series interface must be 9600 baud, no parity, 1 stop bit and no float control.

The piece of equipment is steered per RTS and DTR. After few milliseconds is the microcontroller active. During the start process the pins of the COM-port are not yet carried forward. For that reason it comes to hoaxes on the RXD - combination the Hosts. Please you do not empty the input fifo first! Wait until RTS and DTR are staid and the module is ready . The IR - module sends then "X. As next must indicate the Host a I and circa 500 milliseconds later "R. The Microcontroller answers along with O and K.

Now the piece of equipment is initialized and can receive and decode now personally signals.

If the module is initialized, it sends 6 bytes to the host, if data of the remote maintenance arrive. These 6 bytes are fixed on a key of the remote maintenance in each case and can be assigned so clearly.

IR-2-usb

This module have two parts. Behind an USB1.1-serial-converter, which gernerates a virtual serial interface, is the actually receiver.

The FT232BM uses a Baudrate of 1000 Byte and 300 Byte for the data. It uses the X-On/X-off handshaking, which the module needs to announce itself to the USB-hostcontroller, so that this can install the driver over PlugnPlay.

The microcontroller steered by RTS and DTR. The outlooks of the series interface must be 9600 baud, no parity, 1 stop bit and no float control. If the driver was installed becomes after some milliseconds also the microcontroller actively. During the starting procedure the pin allocation of the module is not yet transferred. Therefore it comes to false alarms onthat RXD connection of the host. Please do NOT empty the input fifo immediately, but wait you until RTS and DTR are set and the receiver module is ready. The IR module sends then "X". As next the host one "I" and about 500 milliseconds must indicate later "R". The microcontroller switched behind the transducer answers with "O" and "K".
